Embrace Care believes that vulnerable children and young people across the UK have the right to access the right care and support when it is needed the most. .
Our short breaks services believe that it is important to develop good relationships between children, staff, and parents, as we believe these relationships, build skills to affect positive outcomes.
We recognise that opportunities need to be available for children with disabilities/ complex needs, to spend time away from their primary carers. The availability for our short breaks service is, day, evening, overnight and weekend care. We have the options to be flexible with the care we are offering.
Our primary aim at The Sunflowers is for the young people to have enjoyable experiences within a safe environment. This enables us to provide the families/carers a break from their caring responsibilities. The children within our care will be offered the same opportunities that any other child is given despite their needs or disabilities. The staff team will always ensure every child is catered for and provided with options to enable them to fulfil their potential.
We at The Sunflowers recognise the value and worth of every individual and aim to build self-confidence and self-esteem by meeting a child or young person’s access requirements. We will do this by offering a variety of new experiences and empower them to participate in decision making within the service. We aim to work in partnership with the young person, their families, outside agencies and other people that may be involved within that child or young person’s life. This is to ensure we can all achieve the best possible outcomes for everyone in a way that suits everyone’s needs.
The ethos of our home is to develop good quality relationships between children, staff, parents, and carers. We believe that having firm positive relationships helps build effective positive outcomes. We believe that everyone has the right to fulfil their potential to the best of their ability and the staff within embrace care will support and enable this to happen.
Each young person will be treated individually, and each short break stay will be unique to everyone to suit their needs and abilities. This will enable them to have a fun, relaxed stay. We ensure we work with the families/ carers/ extended families, professionals, and young people to ensure we create a bespoke care package in which everyone feels happy, safe, and secure. We work with the close families/carers, professionals to create a wraparound care plan that is unique and individual to each young person.
